The Super Falcons and the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon were involved in a brawl during the 2nd leg game of the 2024 Olympic qualifiers game.
As Nigeria were leading 1-0, the Lionesses tried to put themselves back in the game, but Chiamaka Nnadozie made important saves to deny them any chance to upturn the encounter with an away goal.
The visiting team felt her heroics was not ordinary, so they decided to do something drastic. While the game was still on, the players trooped into the goalpost to undo whatever they believe was planted there. The Super Falcons tried to resist them, and it let to a brawl. See video below:

A lone goal from Esther Okoronkwo was the sole difference in a match on the knife edge. The Nigerian ladies will face Tanzania or South Africa in the final round of qualifiers. Only two teams will represent Africa at the 2024 Olympics billed to take place in Paris, France, from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
