Newsblenda reported few days ago that Messi was fined a total fee of €600 for taking off his Barcelona jersey to reveal a Newell’s Old Boys shirt belonging to Maradona, during their 4-0 win over Osasuna on Sunday November 30. He did that as a sign of respect for the deceased football legend.
Joan Gaspart admitted that it was unfair to fine Leo for that gesture and surprisingly he offered to pay the fine because of his love for both Argentines.

“I do not rule out sending €600 to the RFEF and telling them that I’m paying the fine they have given Leo for showing the shirt,” he said, as per Diario AS.
“I will explain why, because of the tremendous love I had for Diego Armando Maradona and the love I have for Leo Messi. It’s not fair.”
Meanwhile, Barca continued their woeful struggle in LaLiga after suffering a 2-1 defeat on Saturday at the hands of newly promoted Cadiz. The Catalans are currently 7th on the table with 12 points.
