“A team that does not have a minimum of 11 players available will be considered to have lost the match 0-2.” CAF added.

“In exceptional cases, the organising committee of AFCON will take appropriate decision.”

Also, if there is no available goalkeeper in a team, an outfield player can take the place of the goalkeeper.

During the tournament, 5 substitution will be permitted in all the 52 matches. Though, CAF maintained that each team will be entitled to only 3 opportunities to make their 5 changes during the game while unused substitution will be carried over to extra-time to avoid disruption during the game.

For the time being, Algeria, Ivory Coast and Morroco have reported Covid-19 cases.
