Those pictures were posted in a series of Twitter thread by a guy named Ify who was amazed that the Southeastern people of Nigeria spend lots of money on their village houses.

The fact that these epic buildings were erected in rural areas have made people wonder if it is actually a good idea, since majority of their owners live in the cities.
“I don’t like how people build mighty houses in the village and no one lives in them till December. I think it is such a waste and I’m still yet to understand it,” one user commented.
