Yul Edochie, a prominent figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry, recently found himself at the center of controversy when he proudly shared his award and honorary title bestowed upon him by the Northern Youths Consultative Forum. The title, “GARKUWAN MARTASAN AREWA,” translates to “SHIELD AND PROTECTOR OF NORTHERN YOUTHS and ICON OF NATION BUILDING.”
This recognition was granted to Edochie in recognition of his significant contributions to the nation’s development. It acknowledged his tireless efforts in youth empowerment, socio-economic and political development, and his active engagement in promoting good governance for the betterment of Nigeria.
However, the announcement of this honor triggered a mixed reaction from fans and followers. While many applauded Edochie for his dedication to nation-building and youth empowerment, others expressed skepticism and questioned the authenticity of the award.
An Instagram user identified as Jeomaxy wrote, “As Igbos don reject you northerns go accept you.”
Still, a good number of followers attributed the negative energy he is getting from people to his marriage to Judy Austin. Since he made open his marriage to Judy Austin, Yul Edochie has been facing controversies.
