Ex Super Eagles player Peter Osaze Odemwingie has tendered an open apology to his former teammate Kanu Nwankwo over his disparaging remarks about his wife.
Recall that the former winger recently accused Kanu Nwankwo’s wife, Amara Kanu of sliding into his DM and “chasing” him “relentlessly” for a chat. Read more about it here.
His comments got people’s attention, and as it happened, almost everyone was talking about it.
But the player seem to regret everything he said against his colleague’s wife and child. Following a WhatsApp chat with Kanu, Odemwingie stated that he was a bit upset about the hand gesture by Sean (Kanu’s son) in a picture. Probably that was why he took it out on the mother.

“Let this be in the open as well so no one doubts I have apologised where I was wrong and also clarify my I was a bit upset, Osaze wrote on Instagram.
“I wasn’t upset at Amara or Sean. Sometimes we can do things we see as nothing offensive but now as I am preceding the gospel openly I know where Satan hides. He is a spirit to and with ordinary eyes you won’t see him.”
Kanu however reminded him that he insulted his wife by calling her Delilah and accusing her of chasing him, because she sought for help regarding his son’s health challenges, something he [Kanu] was aware of.
He also asked him to take down those post, because it was an insult to his family name.
Odemwingie apologized and promised to do as he asked. Read their chat in the video below:
