American multiplatinum rapper and actor Earl Simmons, popularly known as DMX has reportedly passed on at the age of 50.
DMX who was hospitalised after suffering a heart attack April 2, died in a New York hospital, according to a statement released by his family on Friday.
The bold and audacious rapper has reportedly been on life support since he suffered the heart attack.

DMX began his music career in 1998, with his first studio album entitled “It’s Dark and Hell is Hot”. He went on to release seven more albums, with the last one in 2012.
Aside from music, DMX was also a renowned movie star. He was featured in 1998 film “Belly”, he also starred alongside popular action film star Jet Li and late singer Aaliyah, in 2000 movie “Romeo Must Die”.
