The Academic Staff Union of Universities has suspended their eight month old strike, according to various sources.
Although, the union is yet to make an official announcement of the decision, we have come to learn that the decision was taken at the end of the meeting of the National Executive Council of ASUU held at the secretariat in Abuja.
A highly informed source within the body confirmed that the strike has been called off when he said “Yes, it has been called off”.
When asked for more details, the source said, “the president will release an official circular in the morning”.
