*BREAKING: CBN Extends Deadline for Old Naira Notes To Feb 10*
The Central Bank of Nigeria has finally extended the deadline for the exchange of old naira notes by 10 days.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, Godwin Emefiele, the CBN governor, said the new deadline is February 10, 2023.
According to him, the president himself gave the approval.
According to Emefiele, CBN deployed 30 thousand super agents across the country to assists with the cash swapping initiative.

The CBN governor also revealed that the apex bank is working with the economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC) and ICPC in other ensure easy implementation of this directives in CBN and commercial banks across the country.
