There are time wasters that we may not be able to identify at a time. Staying productive entails that you pay attention to certain everyday activities to be sure that you are not wasting your time or apportioning so may time to it.

1. Multitasking
Multitasking is a skill but can be a time-waster when a person does so many things at the same time. In some cases, it is best to focus on work and finish it up before starting up another work. Some tasks demand utmost attention, but when the time that is supposed to be allocated to it is shared with other tasks it leaves you without achieving much after a long while.
2. Unnecessary Meetings
If you tell yourself the truth, you will know that some meetings are not necessary. For you to be productive, you have to cust them off. Particularly meetings you attend without an agenda or an objective.

3. Postponing Tasks
Most times we think that postponing Tasks will give us more time doing work on them but in a real sense, we are only spending more time on what we would have achieved.
Avoid postponing tasks, act quickly if you desire quick results.
4. Checking Mails constantly
Visiting your mail every minute will only take much of your time. Learn to allocate time to each activity every day. One thing checking Mails constantly will do to you is that you may end up wanting to reply all or paying attention to tasks that you didn’t plan for.
5. Indecision
Nothing kills a person’s time like indecision. If you are finding it difficult to decide on an issue, you could seek advice from trusted friends and family or others who have been in your industry for a long while.
6. Disorganized Environment
What this does to you is to create an environment full of distractions. With that, you may not find it so easy to concentrate and carry out tasks effectively.
7. Excessive Breaks
Take breaks only when you need it or when you have allocated it to be. These breaks may come in just a few minutes but in the end, it will amount to hours wasted without achieving anything.
8. Excessive use of social media
Social media has a way of Captivating people and making them waste so much time.
You may just want to reply to a message then it will run into hours of chatting or checking the news feed.
