Emmanuel Okpara, residing in Lagos state, has been apprehended by the police for allegedly fatally assaulting his wife, Patience Johnson. Reports indicate that Destiny, the son of the deceased, reported the incident to the Elere police division on March 26 after receiving a distressing call from a neighbor about his mother’s severe beating by her husband.
Upon arriving at the scene, Destiny found his mother gravely injured and bleeding, with Emmanuel absent. Rushing her to Orile Agege General Hospital, Patience succumbed to her injuries around 6 am on March 28. Her body has been transferred to Mainland General Hospital for autopsy.
