Tennis champion Tanya Okpala spotted homeless in the streets (Video)

Tanya Okpala, a former Nigerian tennis player, was seen roaming the streets of Awka. She represented Nigeria in tennis competitions in the 1990s. Her present situation is nothing to write home about.

It came as a shock for fans and Nigerians in general to see her roaming the streets. A fellow who spotted her in the street interviewed her and she rambled on about how she had been rejected by the society who leer at her for being a half-caste.

She is allegedly also a legal practioner abroad and has a family abroad too. It’s not yet clear what led to her precarious situation.
