Kidney stones are mineral fragments that can form in your kidneys and could become severe when left untreated. If accumulated over time, kidney stones may require surgery.

Here are possible signs of kidney stones to keep your health in check.

1. Pain or burning sensation while urinating

This may happen when the stone reaches the junction between your urine and bladder. Pain like this may be mistaken for a urinary tract infection, so you must visit the hospital for a proper checkup.

2. Cloudy or foul smell of urine

Every healthy urine should be clear and free from strong odors of any kind. Cloudy or foul-smelling urine could be a sign of an infection in your kidney.
