And is officially one of the great movements of the summer in world football. Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Manchester United – the club in which he played between 2003 and 2009.

His £19.7m deal at Manchester United runs until 2023 and he will receive a salary close to 28 million per year.

After an intense 72 hours in which the Portuguese player communicated to the club his intention to change of scene, the 36-year-old forward has opted for the team that saw him grow and where he established himself as a world star.
