Hunger forces Mom to watch her children feed on grass in Northern Nigeria (video)

High rate of poverty amongst the ordinary inhabitants of the Mabai village in Katsina State (Northern Nigeria) has become increasingly alarming as children were seen feeding on raw grass in farms.

A video recently shared on social media shows where two little boys were feeding on raw grass in a farm as a result of hunger, while their helpless mother watched over them.

According to reports, several families were forced to take refuge in Mabai village after they were displaced from their homes by bandits in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Their parents could do little or nothing to provide for them because their businesses was affected by the activities of those criminals/bandits.

A reliable source said that about 16 communities are already relocating to Mabai (a village with strong vigilantes) for protection from bandits who are kidnapping, raping, and killing people daily in the state
