Fans of Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong, has tendered a heartfelt apology to him after the Watford star helped his team secure promotion to the English Premier League.
When William Troost-Ekong decided to join EFL Championship side Watford on a five-year contract deal on September 29, 2020, some of his fans especially Nigerians believed it was a wrong move, simply because the club was relegated to the second division.

However, ever since the 27-year-old former Udinese man joined Watford, he and his teammates has grown from strength to strength.
