A man named Freeman Godwin, who is believed to be an aide to Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade, has threatened to take his life over the non-payment of his salary ever since he was appointed.
The man was spotted inside his office with rope around his neck in a viral video posted on Instagram. He was screaming and complaining to some men who came to rescue him that he hasn’t received a dime from his employer even though he works so hard for them.
He also alleged that his wife recently gave birth to their baby through a Cesarean section, and he has been borrowing from one place to another to sustain his family.

Finally, he would have committed suicide inside his office, if not for the intervention of people who came at the right right time.
