On Wednesday January 6, 2021, thousands of Donald Trump’s supporters stormed the Capitol to show support for the president and protest the results of the 2020 Election.
The President had earlier encouraged his supporters to march from the White House area down Penn toward the Capitol to “cheer on [their] brave senators and congressmen and women.”
A large number of them came out in response to his call to overturn the election results. However, what should have been a peaceful demonstration is now turning out to be violent.

In some videos posted on social media, thugs alleged to be Trump’s supporters were spotted breaking into the Capitol building, attacking police, breaking windows, and knocking down doors.
