The English Premier League has announced the launching of a new tournament called ePremier League Invitational tournament.

The tournament was created by Premier League players as a collective way of generating funds for the National Health Service and also to urge everyone to follow official advice by staying home and saving lives.

The tournament will have a host of familiar footballers go head to head and put their EA SPORTS FIFA 20 skills to the test. Each of them will represent their clubs in the knockout tournament from their homes to find out who will play in the final, which will be shown live on Sky Sports on Saturday 25 April.

Among the players competing in the tournament are Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace), John McGinn (Aston Villa), Lys Mousset (Sheffield United) and Diogo Jota (Wolverhampton Wanderers).

The club representatives before the tournament draw which will take place on the morning of Monday 20 April.

Monday 20 April – Draw for the ePL Invitational

Tuesday 21 April 12:00-16:00 BST – Round 1

Wednesday 22 April 12:00-16:00 BST – Round 2

Thursday 23 April 12:00-16:00 BST – Round 2 continued

Friday 24 April 12:00-16:00 BST – Quarter-finals

Saturday 25 April 15:00 BST – Semi-finals; final.

The prize fund for the ePremier League Invitational tournament is being donated to the #PlayersTogether initiative for the fight of Covid-19 pandemic.
